Skyward recognizes that the need for strong applications stretches far beyond the corporate realm, and many public and charitable institutions need a little bit of help to succeed. Our flexible structure and budget let us work with clients from any background and for any aim.
Penn State University Extension needed an application that would help real estate agents and homeowners discover and diagnose problems with a home’s water. Driven by mysterious pink rings found in bathtubs across the county, PSU wanted a way for agents and homeowners to be able to diagnose and in some cases solve issues with their home’s water on their own, acting as their own experts. PSU contracted with Skyward for a light-weight solution that anyone could use, and would work with their limited budget.
Working within grant and branding constraints, Skyward and Penn State Extension offices released an application for Android and iPhone to connect users with up-to-date, clearly laid out and understandable scientific information about their water problems, as well as contacts if they needed more support. The app was also designed to allow PSU Extension to populate and update the data, lowering their costs and more than doubling the lifespan of the application, without ongoing development work or cost–a key part of the clients’ needs. As Skyward Apps, we don’t believe that the size of your wallet should affect the size of your dreams.
